The Weekly Aisle · With Evelyn · Edition 03

$54.51 in groceries.
$16.91 in my cart.

October 14–20, 2026 · A summary of the cart breakdown from edition three

I put nine items in my Safeway cart. Member prices and item deals brought the displayed original total of $54.51 down to $26.91. The $10-off-$25 Stock Up coupon took it to $16.91. That’s $37.60 in estimated savings.

Here’s what I added.

Nine items, with the basket discount allocated by the app
In my cartAfter discounts
2 Snyder’s peanut butter filled pretzel pieces · 10 oz each$4.39
2 Häagen-Dazs Cookies & Cream · 14 fl oz each$4.39
1 Smartfood Cheetos-flavored popcorn · 5.75 oz$1.56
1 Baked Cheetos · 7.625 oz$1.56
1 Signature Select green grapes · 2 lb$2.51
2 Pillsbury crescents · 8 oz each$2.50

The coupons matter.

Clip the $10-off-$25 Stock Up coupon and the relevant item coupons, then choose participating products and meet their purchase requirements. My cart included $1 off two Häagen-Dazs and $1 off two Pillsbury.

The app spreads the $10 discount across the qualifying items. Those $1.25 crescents aren’t a standalone price: changing the basket can change the savings allocated to each item. The Stock Up offer can be used once per qualifying transaction; separate item-coupon limits still apply.

This is an estimated cart subtotal before taxes and fees, not a completed checkout receipt. Offers were available in my account for this example; check your store, coupon eligibility, and final total before paying. Weekly offers run October 14–20, 2026.

Also in this edition

18 Lucerne cage-free eggs for $2.49 with a digital coupon (limit 2), and a comparison of Safeway’s $2.99 Oroweat loaf with Costco’s larger two-pack. The loaf sizes differ, but the price per ounce is nearly the same.

See you in the aisle,
